Introduction
I was born and raised in Chandler Arizona so I am definitely more used to the heat as I'm sure most of you in Chicago are used to the cold. I enjoy watching all sports, working out, traveling, attending concerts, snowboarding, and spending time with friends.
What drove me to pursue a path in the Masters program was so I could set myself apart from applicants in the sports management field as I heard it is very competitive and feel it will give me great skills and fundamentals to be successful in the business aspect for a professional sports organization. My first internship I was apart of was during senior year of my undergrad doing scouting and analytics for a college baseball recruiting company called Sports Force. During my time as an intern I gained hands on experience from former big leaguers and All American college players on how to take proper video of a high school prospect and do player analysis for individual stats. Some of the videos I took of players were sent to college coaches and shortly after, that player was offered a scholarship to go play college baseball. That was the most exciting part for me to see that my work gave another young athlete the opportunity to pursue their education and career at the college level. Moving forward I hope this experience lands me in a great position in the sports business.
